Tax benefits for innovation

THE Government is introducing tax benefits on a broad range of activities to raise productivity and innovation among businesses.

Under the new scheme, companies will be able to claim tax credits on 250 per cent of their their first $300,000 of expenditure in six areas: from basic research to registering intellectual property and training workers, the Finance Minister announced on Monday.
